2017 HIMB Scholarship Symposium Funds Student Research

The HIMB Scholarship Symposium provided an opportunity for for the recipients of the Lord, Hayashida, and Church scholarships to provide a brief overview of the research project that is being made possible by generous contributions from donors to HIMB. This year, 17 HIMB students (graduate and undergraduate) were awarded funding!  The Scholarship Symposium highlighted leading edge student research  on a wide variety of marine topics (pdf of flyer attached).
These research projects highlighted projects that have important implications for fundamental science, conservation, and resource management, as well as education and outreach.
Congratulations to the Scholarship Recipients and a very big Mahalo to the donors for empowering HIMB students!
