Educational Walking Tour

Interested in marine science? Join us for a two-hour guided walking tour of Moku o Lo‘e, the home of Hawai‘i Institute of Marine Biology. Journey to the island by boat, then learn about the island's unique history, experience the cutting-edge research underway onsite, and interact with invertebrates at our touch table. Tours are offered on weekdays, based on availability.

‘Ohana Saturdays

On the first Saturday of each month, families and groups of up to 12 can join a two-hour guided program. Join us to explore the unique history of Moku o Lo‘e and connect with current ocean research.

Expedition To Moku o Lo‘e

For a truly immersive experience, become a visiting marine biologist for a day. This custom, 3-hour program for groups of 2-12 includes hands-on lab activities and a walking tour. Activities may include an invasive algae lab or a plankton lab, depending on availability.
