Marine Science Overnight
In an unforgettable experience, participants become field scientists as they camp on an island, create their own night plankton light traps made of recycled materials, create hypotheses, deploy their light traps, and collect the living plankton to discover the results. The overnight program also includes a tour of the facility with stops by the shark enclosures and the invertebrate observation/touch table, a late snack, and continental breakfast the following morning. Boy Scout Troops can earn the Oceanography merit badge.
