About
Morgan completed her M.Sc. in marine biology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2016, where she studied coral reef fish life history. Since then, Morgan served as the coordinator for the multi-institutional Hawai‘i Coral Bleaching Collaborative and has worked for both state and federal agencies in Hawai‘i as a scientific diver and data analyst, participating on research missions to monitor the health and threats to coral reef ecosystems across the Pacific. Her current research focuses on the response of coral and fish communities to the influence and interaction of local anthropogenic and environmental factors during large-scale heat stress events, and she is interested in deepening understanding of how management intervention can foster coral reef resilience.
