Madeline (Maddie) is a spatial ecologist studying how changes on land affect nearshore ecosystem health over time, with study sites in Hawai‘i and the Caribbean Sea. She has a background in geospatial analysis and conservation science, and previously worked as a data analyst for SeaSketch, an open-source platform to support multi-stakeholder participatory marine spatial planning. In her free time she enjoys ocean swimming, surfing and learning about sustainable food systems.
