About Our Lab
The Coral Resilience Lab focuses on understanding and enhancing the resilience of coral reefs amid climate change. We study how corals naturally resist heat stress by uncovering mechanisms behind bleaching. Our research encompasses areas such as selective breeding for thermal tolerance, exploring molecular mechanisms behind coral resilience, and developing advanced coral husbandry techniques. The Coral Resilience Lab aims to deepen our understanding of coral resilience and develop tools to aid in the conservation and management of coral reef ecosystems.
