Hosted Seminar Series

One of our favorite seminar series is “Barnacle Banter”. Have you ever wanted to tune into a seminar but felt like it was… just a bit too serious? Well, Barnacle Banter is here to change that! A laid-back, easygoing 5-10 minute presentation where you can dive into various topics with a splash of fun. It’s all the best things about seminars without the stress and maybe even a few laughs.

Events

We organize events for UH students and community members to learn more about HIMB.

  • Annual Walking Symposium: We welcome community members of UH and partnering Community Colleges to join our walking tour of Moku o Lo‘e.
  • Student Lab Crawl: Every fall, we introduce our new graduate student cohort to the lab spaces and research happening at HIMB.
