Chris was born and raised in Wisconsin where my passions for the outdoors, fishing, and coral reef aquariums lead him to a career in aquatic biology. After completing my undergraduate and masters degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences I relocated to O‘ahu to pursue a career around coral reef conservation. Currently he is employed as the HIMB Coral Nursery Manager where he helps facilitate coral reef research at our midwater, floating nursery. Chris’ research interests are broad and include coral reef biology and ecology, ecological engineering, conservation and sustainability, evolution, population genetics, and much more.
