The School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST) is a degree granting school within the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa (UH Manoa). The School’s unique location in Honolulu on the island of Oahu provides outstanding access to deep oceans, land biomes, space resources, climate and atmospheric research that attracts world-renowned faculty and staff. SOEST is globally recognized as a premier institution for research and education in geosciences and life sciences. Through a convergence of research, education and Indigenous knowledge systems, SOEST works to transform the collective understanding of Hawai‘i , Oceania, the world, and the way people live by fostering healthy and resilient communities and environments.
