Anke Kügler, a marine biology PhD candidate, research assistant with HIMB Affiliate researcher Marc Lammers, and lead author on the paper, explains how using autonomous acoustic recorders help give researchers better insight to humpback whale migration to and from the Hawaiian Islands.
