Sci-Art Exhibit Opens this Friday!

SymbioSEAS | Connecting Science, Education, Art & Society through Coral Reefs is a locally-based art exhibit co-sponsored by HIMB that brings global awareness to the health & rehabilitation of oceans and coral reefs. This exhibit bridges the gap between science and art, highlighting the similarities in the process and extending the research into a visually digestible product for broader audiences. SymbioSEAS connects people on aesthetic and informative levels about the oceans and specifically Hawaiian Coral Reef communities through a blend of science and art across multiple scales, from microscopic (the individual coral life cycles, plankton, symbioses) to Pacific Ocean wide (aerial footage of reefs, reef biodiversity, macrofauna, interdependence).
